ABOUT

My name is Lars Fritschi. I am the owner of Lava Lizard Guest House which is located in Puerto Villamil on Isabela Island. I have been here on the Galapagos Islands for over 20 years working as a naturalist guide for the National Park. I am also a diving instructor and keen photographer.

Lava Lizard Guest House was formerly my family home which I built ten years ago. A few years ago I converted it into a Guest House for tourists here on Isabela. The Guest House consists of two bedrooms - one double and one triple - a lounge, a small kitchen to prepare breakfast and snacks, and a laundy area with washing machine. Located five minutes walk from the beach, it is an ideal place for couples or families.

Lava Lizard Guest House is located in Puerto Villamil on the south coast of Isabela Island, overlooking the Volcano Sierra Negra, which has the second largest crater in the world. Isabela is the largest of the Galapagos Islands, it has 5 active volcanoes and has existed for at least one million years. Isabela has the widest variety of endemic plant life in the archipelago of Galapagos. There are a wide range of activities for tourists to enjoy on Isabela, such as hiking, snorkelling, scuba diving, cycling, and an incredible range of wildlife to see, including sea lions, penguins, iguanas and sharks.

Here in the Guest House we can help you to arrange any tours with guide, and we offer assistance in German, Spanish and English.
